Accel's Euro Fund Backs Gigle
![]()
It looks like Accel Partners' European fund has invested in a Spanish/Scottish startup called Gigle Semiconductor. Although Accel has not yet announced the terms of the deal or who the founders are, the EE Times is reporting that the startup is recruiting engineers and has Accel's backing.
The a:c euro notes that Accel lists Gigle as a portfolio company on its web-site.
Gigle Semiconductor Ltd, a startup fabless semiconductor company developing system-on-chip integrated circuits for home networking applications, is recruiting engineers for a range of activities from systems architecture and algorithm definition to embedded firmware developers.
. . .
Founded in 2005, Gigle is backed by Accel Partners and has received £16,667 (about $29,000) in the form of a government development grant.
