VC-Backed Cramer Acquired By Amdocs

Bath, UK-based Cramer Systems has been bought by Amdocs for $375M. The a:c euro had half been expecting an IPO for Cramer but the trade sale will nevertheless likely provide a homerun exit for its backers. It only raised $27M since founding.

The Technofile blog, written by Max Bleyleben of Kennet Ventures, which back the firm has an inside view on Cramer's tightness with its venture capital funding and how that culture enabled it to endure the post-tech speculation bubble downturn when telecommunications operators pretty much stopped investing in new software and hardware for their businesses.
