Germany's Onvista Adds Advertising To Content Mix
![]()
Onvista, the German financial news and information portal that survived the downturn (its stock is publicly traded) is coming out the other side profitable (before tax) and on an expansion course.
It now owns Onmeda, a health information portal, and last week acquired Ad 2 Net, an online advertising booker.
OnVista has its own performance marketing unit called Ligatus, which Ad2Net will join but also continue to operate under its own name and with its existing customers. It can also book ads on Onvista's sites.
Onvista markets several other content sites such as Morningstar, Klassic.com, Kochrezepte.de and Deutsche Anleger Fernsehen (IPTV).
We picked up this deal in a new free (sponsored by corp finance advisory companies) M&A newsletter from Sven Majunke who's been covering VC and PE market in Germany for a couple of years now with a couple of his own titles.
