Sweden's Online Payment Processor Netgiro Bought For $27M

US-based Digital River has bought Sweden's Netgiro for $27M. Just last February Netgiro had agreed on terms to be bought for a smaller amount - EUR10.25M by British firm Datacash.
Netgiro is an online payments platform that can support 20 online payment methods, from credit and debit card processing, to direct debit, Internet bank payments, local bank transfers and checks and it works in 40 countries.
Investors in Netgiro include Nordic Venture Partners, Bonier, and Intrum Justitia.

Confidential Documents Manager BrainLoop Goes Abroad

Discretion has always been a hallmark of Bavarians. So its not a surprise to see that document protection startup Brainloop is a great success and has been growing at a 100% rate in each of the past 2 years.
Munich-based Brianloop has raised funding from BayTech Venture Capital which made a sole Series A investment of €2M. Founded in 2000, Brainloop is a software-as-a-service provider for managing confidential documents in the enterprise. The company claims over 200 companies. Confidential documents include boardroom communication, financial reporting, and corporate M&A projects.

London's World-Check Takes Investment From Spectrum Equity

World-Check, which sells data on heightened risk individuals and companies, has received "a significant equity investment" from Spectrum Equity Investors and HarbourVest Partners. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Profitable World Check was founded in 2000 and has expertise in tracking money laundering for banks, fraud checking and terrorist funding tracking.
The company claims as clients over 2,000 institutions, including 45 of the world’s 50 largest financial institutions and hundreds of government agencies.
