A Trend of One In SEM

ClickZ sees more than a one-off in last week's $50M acquisition of search engine marketing (SEM) firm iProspect by the UK-based Aegis Group, rather it may represent a trend of larger agencies investing in SEM. Any jerk with a laptop can launch an SEM venture and probably land a few clients. However, Clickz indicates among the hundreds of SEM firms there are less than a dozen acquisition candidates. Did-It, Fathom, Impaqt and DoubleClick are on top of the stack.
