Slate to WaPo

It's official. The Washington Post Company has acquired online magazine Slate for undisclosed terms.

As we noted back in July when talks of a Slate sale first emerged: Look for the Washington Post Company to make a more legitimate run at Slate. The MSNBC/Newsweek(owned by WaPo Co.)/Slate/MSN connection already exists -- the deal could be hammered out over a latte in Redmond.

'Nuff said.
