VoIP Capital

Om Malik dissects data that VCs have dramatically ramped up their VoIP investments this year - $355M in 18 companies (although a fat slice of that went to 1 investment - Vonage). Malik indicates that the most active investor is 3i Group which invested in 3 companies (Kineto, Sonim, and Vonage). Om goes on to write that A-list VCs stayed away from the market. But doesn't 3i qualify for the A-list? Granted it's European, but it did more deals this year than any other firm.
