Adomo - Profile

adomoLogo.gif

HQ: Cuptertino, CA

Founded: 2004

Management: CEO is Jeff Snider, who previously co-founded Touchwave in the enterprise IP telephony space. Octel co-founder Bob Cohn is Chairman.

Investors: Adomo completed a Series B round led by Menlo Ventures in 2004.

Business Model: Adomo sells a voice messaging appliance for Exchange which is specifically designed for Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory. For end-users it integrates voice-mail messages into Outlook email so that voice mails are displayed in the Outlook message lineup as if they were email messages. Users can either replay the messages on their phone or as a wave filed attached to their email. For IT, it eliminates the costs of maintaining separate voice mail storage, databases and networking. The cost is about $60-$80 per seat.

Competitors: Providers of legacy, PBX-centric voice mail systems such as Avaya.

Dirt: This one has all the makings of a winner - good management and a product that users will like but that has a good ROI for IT managers.

Edmonton dominated the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night and the 4-0 margin in Game 6 makes it hard to imagine the Oilers not hoisting hockey's Holy Grail above their heads in less than 48 hours. And it would not come as any shock to see defenseman Chris Pronger, who had another 31-minute night, take the honors for the Conn Smythe Trophy as the playoff MVP.
