a:c Exclusive (Part 2): Michael O'Donnell Out at BitPass
We floated a hint on March 11 that Michael O'Donnell, the former CEO of Salon and current CEO of BitPass, might be looking for a job. As of this morning, his name no longer appears in the "management" section of the BitPass site. See here. We haven't checked in a few days, so his name may have been removed earlier. No CEO is currently listed.
At the time of our original post, we had a strong indication that O'Donnell was at odds with the BitPass Board, but we chose not to speculate. It would appear our moles were dead on. We don't know anything about O'Donnell's future plans. We'll update this story as events warrant.
Ironically, when we first profiled BitPass last September, we referred to O'Donnell as the guy who "wisely vacated his role as President and CEO of the underachieving Salon Media Group to take the helm at BitPass." Maybe Salon wasn't so bad after all.

Edmonton dominated the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night and the 4-0 margin in Game 6 makes it hard to imagine the Oilers not hoisting hockey's Holy Grail above their heads in less than 48 hours. And it would not come as any shock to see defenseman Chris Pronger, who had another 31-minute night, take the honors for the Conn Smythe Trophy as the playoff MVP.
