South Park - The Scene of the Crime

South Park - Shabby, chic, shabby, now chic again
InformationWeek leads with the story that South Park is again vibrant. South Park is the south of Market Street locale in San Francisco that was once considered a lucky address with companies like Wired, BigWords, and Organic Online, which all sprouted up along the park. During the boom, you could waste a whole lunch break standing in line behind throngs just to get a cup of joe at Cafe Centro. For the past few years however, as numerous tenants went bankrupt, South Park was more home to winos than to coffee-drinking coders. InformationWeek recalls a story where some pathetic wannabe broke into the South Park hq of the VC firm Hummer Winblad and posted his business plan in the men's room.

Edmonton dominated the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night and the 4-0 margin in Game 6 makes it hard to imagine the Oilers not hoisting hockey's Holy Grail above their heads in less than 48 hours. And it would not come as any shock to see defenseman Chris Pronger, who had another 31-minute night, take the honors for the Conn Smythe Trophy as the playoff MVP.
