Omidyar Funds Microfinance .Org

Bill Gates' legacy might lie in solving 3rd world health issues, but what of eBay founder Pierre Omidyar? He has just invested $2.7M in a non-profit that fosters micro-financing in Third world countries. It's fair to say that micro-financing has been proven more in theory than in practice, but we imagine that if Unitus can show results, Omidyar will keep the money flowing.
