RealTravel Raises $1M

Online travel is hot right now -- it's almost impossible to book ads on travel sites. However, RealTravel has about as much traffic as a checkers fan club site - traffic is dirt poor. And there are dozens of travel sites that are more compelling. But if you live in Los Altos, CA as the founders of RealTravel do, $1M in funding is absolutely nothing.

Michael Tanne is Chairman and Founder - he is also founder and CEO of Wink, a recently launched Internet search engine, and he was founder of AdForce, an ad serving company which went public in 1999 and was later acquired by CMGi.
