Mamma Mias Copernic

Mamma.com (Nasdaq:MAMA) buys desktop search company Copernic for $22M. The Quebec, Canada-based Copernic has been doing its thing since 1996 but only had $5.9M US revenue in its fiscal year ended June 30, 2005. Given that Copernic charges for much of its software, we wonder if the idea is that Mamma will make the software free and ad-supported.
