Virgin Electronics' Guys Jump For Kleiner Perkins' Startup

voicevault.gif

Virgin Electronics' Web site makes boasts of its two leaders - Greg Woock, CEO, and Joe Sipher, SVP. Woock was VP of sales at Handspring, while Sipher was VP of marketing at Handspring.

However, according to a regulatory filing today, Woock and Sipher have signed on to lead VoiceVault a Menlo Park, CA-based voice technology startup that has raised $3M in Series A funding led by Kleiner Perkins, with partner Randy Komisar on the board.

Here at the a:c, we are looking for clarification. A voice technology company based in the UK called VoiceVault recently changed its name to Biometric Security. We don't think this is the same company that the Virgin guys have signed on to, but we could be wrong and will share it when we get it.
