2004 Startup-Of-The-Year Winner Shuts Down in 2005

Sequoia Capital-funded Tera Systems appears to have quietly shuttered last year. The EDA startup was chosen "semiconductor entrepreneurial company of the year" in 2004 by consultant Frost & Sullivan, but issued its last public statement in June 2005. EE Times and others have been sleuthing around, but have not recieved any return calls from the company or its VCs. Tera's last funding round of $14M came in April 2004.
