Verified Person Gets $12M
Former Apple Computer CEO John Scully's latest venture, Verified Person, has raised $12M from Sevin Rosen Funds and Rho Capital Partners.
The company has developed a platform to sell background checks. It has recently partnered with RoommateClick, for example, so that users can check the backgrounds of their potential new dorm-mates. Other users are for online dating, employees screening, and healthcare backgournd checking by HR departments.
