Two new billboard technology companies were funded today: It's Giant Webpages in the Sky™ is the description favored by VIS to describe their next gen outdoor display technology.

VIS Says This Shows How Their Technology Does Not Suffer Degradation As Does Previous Gen Stuff
Meanwhile, over in Finland, Virtual Advertising received a seed investment round, led by newly formed Conor Venture Partners Oy, according to Venture Wire.

This company is at an earlier stage but says it is developing technology for Virtual Billboard Replacement in live TV broadcasts. It claims the technology works in tough weather and lighting conditions and enables high quality virtual ads. We don't understand what the heck this means so we are investigating.
