Coremetrics Gets Big In Web Analytics
Coremetrics has raised $31M in series D financing from FTVentures, Accel Partners and Highland Capital Partners. It's a big round, but the company claims it added 100 new clients in 2005. Coremetrics is a Web analytics ASP.
The company is long in the tooth, having been founded in 1999 and it has raised over $115M to date. Even if the company has a monster IPO, it will be tough for investors to get their money back out. Coremetrics will tire of hearing about Google's buy of rivals Urchin and MeasureMap, so it is focusing on eCommerce metrics.
