Randy Adams Heads Out Again With Kavam.com

Randy Adams whose most recent success is the eBay services success story AuctionDrop, has just raised raised $4.75M in Series B funding led by Sequoia Capital for Kavam.com. The Palo Alto-based software startup remains in stealth-mode.

Adams Gets the Star Treatment

Adams founded AuctionDrop in 2003 and now has "an emeritus advisory role." He previously founded the Internet Shopping Network which was acquired by the Home Shopping Network. Before that, he founded Emerald City Software, acquired by Adobe Systems; Navitel Communications, acquired by Spyglass; and Newsnet Technologies. He also introduced Sequoia Capital to Yahoo for its initial funding and served on the Board of Directors of Yahoo during its first year of operation.
