Startup CEOs Fatter and Happier

Median compensation for VC-backed startup CEOs, which includes salary and bonuses or commissions, grew to $263K this year, up from $252Ka year ago and just $200K in 2000, according to a study from VentureOne. This data is a bit skewed as CEOs of health care start-ups topped their counterparts, with a median compensation of $284K.
