Wireless eBay Auctions

UNWIREDBUYER_LOGO-rgb.png

Count another beneficiary of the eBay economy. gNumber has raised $1.5M in VC funding for its UnWired Buyer for eBay technology. Accent Texas Fund led the round with Aegis Texas Venture Fund, DFJ Mercury, and Gefinor Ventures.

UnWired Buyer is a free app that allows users to bid on eBay via their mobile phones. Three minutes before the end of an auction close, UnWired Buyer places a call to the user. The user is provided with dynamically updated status on an eBay item, including real-time changes in price status. UnWired Buyer users can then place new bids or increase bids by touch-tone.
