SequoiaCap's Presence at Ad:Tech Felt: AdBrite And Kontera

At Ad:Tech SF, Kontera announced its first round of funding from Sequoia Capital. Kontera finds contextually relevant keywords on a publisher's web page in real-time and automatically generates text ads. kontera.jpg

Kontera also runs a self-bidding solution for advertisers, and a private label self-bidding solution for publishers and their own advertisers.

Sequoia-backed AdBrite, meanwhile, didn't have any significant announcements at Ad:Tech, however, the startup founded by F#*ked company ring-leader Pud has a lot of envious people talking about its growth. AdBrite has seen over 700% annual revenue growth, its ads reach more than 20M visitors each day, and it has open job reqs for 10 staffers.
