BabyStyle.com Back At the VC Trough After $120M Spent
Multi-channel retailer of maternity/baby clothing eStyle/BabyStyle.com has secured $6M of an $8.53M Series 1 round from return backers include Oak Investment Partners and Global Retail Partners. The company has raised over $120M in total VC funding since its 1998 launch.
It's too bad for the founders that BabyStyle started so early and burned through so much cash because moms say the store is one to watch.
BabyStyle began with a Web site and then branched out to catalogs and mall stores. It says those channels are primarily intended to drive customers to the Web site.
