Baynote Launches Improving Intra-site Search

Baynote has launched an on-demand software as a service to businesses to make it easier for visitors to find what they are looking for. Baynote raised $4.6M in VC funding last year.

The software keeps track of items such as how long visitors spend on a particular page, whether they revisit the page and whether they scroll. The software also lets Web sites offer navigation help to visitors via links to the most popular pages based on visitor patterns, similar pages and recommended next steps.

Baynote customers including LSI Logic, Interwoven, and SEMI. CEO Jack Jia previously was SVP and CTO of Interwoven and he bought some Interwoven alums with him.

The company charges $12K p/year for enterprises and $1.2K for small/mid-size businesses.
