Casual Games Co Oberon Gets Pedigreed Investors

Oberon Media has secured mezzanine financing from Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Oak Investment Partners and existing investors including Capricorn Management, the investment firm of Jeff Skoll, eBay's first employee and first president.

If you haven't heard of Oberon Media, its casual games platform currently offers hundreds of games in 14 languages and more than 200 countries to more than 300 million unique players. Other media companies use Oberon's games platform to serve games and draw traffic.

From its New York HQ, Oberon competes within the epicenter of global casual games in Seattle which includes include PopCap Games, BigFish Games, Real and Microsoft.
