Search Little-man Kozoru Shopping For Sugar Daddy

kozoru logo.png Mobile IM search technology startup Kozoru has hired a Kansas City investment banker Nations Media Partners to shop it around. Based in Overland Park, KS, Kozoru recently unveiled an application called Byoms that allows users to conduct customized searches on America Online's IM. Byoms lets users create their own AIM bots for mobile search.

Kozoru is pre-revenue and was founded in late 2004 with $3M from Kansas Technology Enterprise Corp. and Euronet Worldwide.

The original press release talks about working to find a strategic partner. No mention of acquisition exists in our official statement, although everyone believes (and understands) an acquisition is possible.

“Nations Media Partners, a boutique investment bank specializing in media and telecommunications transactions, announced today that it has been hired by kozoru, Inc. to exclusively represent them in on-going discussions with strategic partners for their byoms™ mobile search technology.”

We believe our position was misrepresented by the Business Journal.

P.S. Sugar Daddy is without question the most clever response to the iBanker article I've seen. Very funny. :)
