Wurld Media Launches With Content From NBC, Fox, Warner Bros.

wurld logo.gif We have to be honest we hadn't come across Wurld Media or its peer-to-peer offering Peer Impact. The company today disclosed deals with 3 major studios whereby Peer Impact can rent TV shows for $.99. Movies can be downloaded for $2.99 to $3.99.

Wurld Media is based up in Saratoga Springs, NY and has not taken funding to our knowledge.

Wurld Media have been operting thier Peer Impact network for over a year now with Music from the 4 major Studios and Indies and games from TryMedia they officaly launched last August (out of Beta) .

Wurld Media is a privatly owned company and thier employees hold most of the stock they have been operating since 2001 .

Remember everything we said yesterday about investing in "stable staples" of consumers and small and micro caps that are less volatile? Utah's TopTenREVIEWS has raised $6M in a venture round from Highway 12 Ventures and Village Ventures. TopTenREVIEWS said the funding will use the funding to expand its online review site, and increase its workforce. TopTenREVIEWS runs an online product and price comparison shopping web site, under the guise of objective reviews of products ranging from video games to anti-virus software. The startup says it plans to boost its headcount by 100 thanks to the investment. TopTenREVIEWS was founded by Jerry Ropelato who was COO of ContentWatch. He launched the company as a resource for parents and as it took-off he branched off into other items to review. The company makes a living through advertising. View - site...
