Tivo Work-Around Tool For TV Advertising Funded

In Hollywood's TV studios, Tivo is treasured by users but feared by TV producers who know what it does to commercials - which pay their bills.

LA-based NextMedium has raised $6M in Series B led by Bessemer Venture Partners led the deal and was joined by return backers Ascend Venture Group and Globespan Capital Partners. Next Medium focused on bringing technology to what is known as brand integration (when the good guys in 24 drive GM SUVs, its because GM pays for the Brand Integration). The start-up provides a platform for measuring and placing such brand integrations.
