Pittsburgh-based Plextronics To Close $10M Funding Deal

Plextronics, a four-year-old Pittsburgh, PA-based developer of polymer technologies, is close to completing a $10M funding round. It's the start-up's first institutional round and largest capital raise to date.

Plextronics makes polymer techologies for use in solar cells and other uses. Andrew Hannah is President and CEO. He is an Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Carnegie Mellon University. He was CFO for Pittsburgh-based Internet Venture Works - a venture operating company focused on commercializing the intellectual property of large companies' new venture creation.
