Wheels Up For Adam Aircraft - Doll Capital/Friends Pony Up $92M

adam aircraft logo.png Thanks to terrorism, commercial aviation sucks. Anyone who can afford to fly private will do it and light jets are all the rage.

Light jets can seat 6 to 8 people, cost between $1M and $4M, have a range of about 1K miles, and land on small runways.

Englewood, CO-based Adam competes with Honda and Cesna which are entering the market as well as Albuquerque-based Eclipse Aviation which sells less-luxurious jet than Adam’s. Eclipse has raised over $300M in funding, but Adam claims $800M in backlogged orders.

In this round of financing Doll Capital is joined by Mesirow Financial, W Capital Partners, DEShaw, Acadia Woods Partners, Goldman Sachs and Hunt Growth Capital.
