Enterprise 2.0 Co. Nexaweb Raises $10M More

Our sister site the a:c euro senses a trend of enterprise Web 2.0 companies and asked if we are seeing that trend state-side. This week, Nexaweb Technologies out of Burlington, MA raised $10M in Series B from return backers Egan-Managed Capital, Masthead Venture Partners and Velocity Partners.

Nexaweb's case is that Web 2.0 front-ends can make enterprise applications faster. "Compared with other Internet applications, Nexaweb applications run faster—70% more responsive and with 90% less network traffic—and are also developed 50%."

We can think of a lot of legacy applications that would benefit from slapping Web 2.0 interfaces on them. All those old real estate listing and airline reservations systems for example could sure use a new coat of paint.

Over in Europe, Finland's Helmi Technologies, a developer of Web 2.0 user interface software solutions for enterprise Web developers, has raised $2.5M in new VC funding from Conor Venture Partners.
