Star Trek's Captain Kirk Vs. Netflix

shatner dvd club.png
We have seen a number of banner ads to promote Bill Shatner's latest Internet gig - the William Shatner DVD Club. It's a Sci-fi DVD club with membership selling for $49.95 for the year, or as they put it $4 per DVD. Its different from Netflix in that the DVDs are yours to keep. Flicks inlclude: Immortal, Close Your Eyes, and Virus.

The club is a partnership between Shatner and Brooklyn-based, VC-backed Full Turn Entertainment which runs the biz.
