Digital Flooring Company - IntelliMat - Funded

intellimat logo.jpg
Occasionally you will here a cultural pundit complain that our world has become over-advertised. But there is still plenty of space where you don't see good ads, that includes the ground we walk on.

Roanoke, VA-based IntelliMat has raised $5M in Series A from NewVa Capital Partners and SPI Investments. The start-up was spun off from Egg Factory with a series of patents on floor-based digital advertising. For $9,900, IntelliMat will sell you a floor-mounted computer and monitor that's flat (4/10s of an inch) and durable so that it can be walked on in the supermarket, cosmetic counter or trade show floor. If it can be displayed on a PC, it can be shown on an IntelliMat, from images to movies to PowerPoint presentations to Web pages. Circuity City confirms that they are one of IntelliMat's first customers.
