5 Wireless Companies For Thanksgiving: Flurry

It's going to be a slow news cycle in the US due to the holidays so we thought we would take a look at a few wireless companies that have it going on.
San Francisco-based Flurry is a pretty simple deal. If you have a crappy cell phone, not a blackberry or some other smart phone, you can create a Flurry account and get free email and RSS. How are they going to cash in you ask? Flurry has an ad supported free version as well as premium services. Sequoia has invested in Flurry.
As it happens, we have have a crappy cell phone and Flurry works fine. Easy to set-up. No need to upgrade to a heavy duty business man's cell phone that creates an unseemly bulge in your pocket.
Flurry got some good reviews in the Web 2.0 rags, but has not overwhelmed with follow-through. They did random deals with NewsIsFree and Goowy Media. Keep it to yourself. To get in front of people, Flurry is going to need to think bigger than that.
