Multilingual Search Engine Tyloon Funded

tyloon.png
Headquartered in El Monte, CA, Tyloon has raised an undisclosed amount of funding, says SocalTech. Founded in December 2005, the startup was founded by 2GM Corporation and Ruiyi Ma.

Given that Google and Yahoo are in every known language, it was not initially clear why Tyloon is long for this world but given their solid traffic we dug deeper. For people who speak 2 or more languages, Tyloon is different as a user can search using a mix of languages. So you can search in Spanglish as well as Traditional and Simplified Chinese languages. It plans to add French, Japanese, and German.
