After The Deluge, The Pride of New Orleans' eWard: Turbo Squid Begets GameFlood

Turbo Squid is an online digital marketplace for 3D digital assets. The site boasts over 140K digital assets. The company recenlty launched another site called GameFlood that sells video game assets. (Did they name if before or after the Katrina flooding?) Turbo Squid is growing rapidly. It currently claims $5M in annual revenues fuled by two rounds of venture capital. With 30 employees, it is now looking to bring on a CFO and VP of BD.

Turbo Squid caters to many industries, including motion picture, video, broadcast, Web, game development, and architectural visualization. Assets include 3D models, textures, motion capture files, plug-ins, meshes, and audio files. Turbo Squid says it gets800K unique visitors and 9M page views per month.

GameFlood is a destination for gamers to find add-on game content. It has a workflow solution for game content developers that has a file system, task and bug tracking, public and private forums, and messaging.
