Seattle's Jott Raises <$1M From Draper Richards And Skype's Zennstrom
Founded by a couple of senior Microsoft alums, Jott has taken seed funding less than $1M from Ackerley Partners, Draper Richards and the newly formed investment firm of Skype founder Niklas Zennstrom, says the Seattle PI.
The idea with Jott is to marry email and a toll free number to suplant the sticky note. Call the number: "Honey, don't forget the huggies." Bam, you get the email and the voice mail with the mission critical message. The number to remember is 877-JOTT IT NOW.
Jott is in beta now and plans to give away its service for free. It plans to make money through a premium service, but it also might apply advertising.
