Element Analyzer (The New Tazers) - Innov-X Funded

Innov-X Systems out of Woburn, MA has raised $27M from Summit Partners. The start-up sells elemental analyzers. Applications run the gamut from homeland security to real estate inspectors who need to scan a school-house for lead. Innov-X also has a JV with shipping giant Maersk for on-board elemental XRF analysis of oil & additives to allow for blending during transit.

Innov-X does not mess around with low-ball pricing. Rentals come in at $4,900/month, or lease with a big down-payment for $800/month.
