German Behavioral Ad Network wunderLOOP Raises $10M From Skype Dudes

Picture 6.png
More later from the a:c euro, but there has been a sexy round of investment in Luxembourg ad startup wunderLOOP. Why sexy? Because several high profile European investors took part, including Skype investors.

wunderLOOP (formerly 7d) sells a behavioral targeting ad server, to date to customers in Germany and now plans to sell to the rest of the world. .

Investors are:
* Klaus Hommels. “European Angel Investor of 2006”
* Atomico Investments. Backed by Niklas Zennström, who co-founded Skype and Joost
* Howard Hartenbaum. General Partner of Draper Richards who was responsible for the founding investment in Skype
* European Founders Fund - the investment fund established by the Samwer brothers, previously founders of Jamba and Alando.de (acquired by eBay)

One of our favorite lines from the deal is this from the founder and CEO: “Attracting such high-profile and successful investors to wunderLOOP is a huge validation of wunderLOOP’s potential to lead the next generation of Online Advertising 4.0.” 4.0? That's awesome.

So why so much investor interest? The company claims it has increased advertising efficiency by up to 792%. wunderLOOP customer sites currently deliver up to 18B pageviews each month and the company is experiencing year-on-year growth of over 500%.
