MSFT Exchange Hackers PostPath Raise $15M

postpath logo.jpg
Hats off to the engineers at PostPath. Management told them that they could not survive creating a Linux version of MSFT Exchange rather Postpath would have to work seamlessly with their existing MSFT Exchange infrastructure, which meant engineers would need to hack Exchange without help and documentation from Redmond, which must have been a nightmare.

We used Postpath's savings calculator which told us that we would pay $8K for our 50 seat venture vs. $28K for a MSFT Exchange set-up.

Postpath has just raised $15M to take the product to market. Investors are led by JAFCO Ventures, with prior backers Matrix Partners and Worldview Technology Partners.
