Net Video's Brightcove Raises $59.5M
Reading the NewYorktimes.com recently it struck us how important video - powered by Brightcove had become to the site. Apparently this realization is not lost on them and others.
Cambridge, MA-based Brightcove has today raised $59.5M in strategic funding round that will allow the Internet TV company to accelerate international expansion. The round is led by AllianceBernstein, Brookside Capital, and Maverick Capital as well as The New York Times Company, and Transcosmos with existing investors: Accel Partners, Allen & Company, AOL, General Catalyst Partners, The Hearst Corporation, and IAC/InterActiveCorp.
