Software Dev. Analytics SaaS Start-up 6th Sense Raises $5M

Picture 12.png
6th Sense Analytics out of Morrisville, NC is yet another company to announce funding at the DEMO event this week. 6th sense sells software development metrics on a software as a service basis. The product is meant to allow managers to track off-shore software development.

A project manager in the U.S. can now know when an offshore developer has instantiated a debugger or when they are editing a file. The system monitors files by checking byte count. By monitoring sign-in and sign-out times in context, an Active Time feature measures the amount of time spent actively developing software in such contexts as modeling, UML design, and testing.
