Cisco Buys Portfolio Startup Neopath

Cisco is buying privately held NeoPath Networks for an undisclosed amount. The Santa Clara-based startup sells network storage systems. Cisco had invested in Neopath along with August Capital, DCM-Doll Capital Management, Gabriel Venture Partners and Dot Edu Ventures.

With Neopath, system administrator can migrate individual files or an entire directory between file servers at any time -- even while files are being read and written to by users or applications.
