Handheld WMD Detector Ahura Raises More Funds

Ahura Scientific sells ruggedized handheld Raman spectrometers for the immediate ID of narcotics, hazardous materials, explosives, toxic industrial chemicals, chemical weapons, and other weapons of mass destruction (WMDs. The company claims to have doubled revenues in each of the past 2 years thanks to its military/homeland defense product and is now launching its spectrometer for pharmaceutical and industrial applications.

Based in Wilmington, MA, Ahura has raised $7M in additional Series B funding, for a round total to $17M.
