Kwiry Raises $1M For Offline Tagging Service

Pre-launch Kwiry is similar to Twitter in that its social networking via text messaging. San Francisco-based Kwiry was founded 8 months ago by a couple of junior TellMe employees - Ron Feldman (now CEO) and Jon Sugihara. The startup says it "will revolutionze the way you interact with your offline world. Bookmark information you see in your offline world to store in your locker." Via their cell phone. Users create what they call kcards. kcards enable you to share personal information with friends or new friends. kcards may include info like your mobile phone number, email address, AIM ID, your MySpace or Facebook url,

Kwiry has now raised $1M in Series A funding from Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, says PeWire.
