Biz Social Network Zoodango Set To Close Strategic Round

zoodango.png
We heard from Zoodango's founder/CEO today who tells us that the site is serving 30K page views a day and has 2985 profiles to date. His positioning is comparable to LinkedIn but emphasizes face to face meetings.

Sun says to watch our for a funding announcement to come in 30 days from "big profile strategic investors." Sun had previously indicated that Zoodango is angel funded by a Seattle Billionaire.

Sun and Zoodango got a high profile thanks to his appearance on Donald Trump's reality TV program The Apprentice. If Sun does not close the round on time "Your Fired." (It must be a down-side to appearing on the program to have to hear those words a dozen times per day.)

It does seem that Sun is on to something with Zoodango and thanks to intense local media coverage, its base of users definately seems to be in Seattle. If it can nail Seattle, we can see it expanding out from the Pacific Northwest.
