Israeli Stealth Mode Online Access Security Startup Neocleus Raises $5M

Israeli start-up Neocleus closed its first financing round with $5M from Battery Ventures and Gemini Israel Funds. The two firms had invested $700K last year.

Neocleus says it plans to launch an online access security management product. Neocleus' founders have had success. CEO Ariel Gorfung and CTO Etay Bogner founded the company. Bogner previously worked for Sofaware, which was acquired by Check Point Software Technologies. Gorfung was a founder of Optibase (Nasdaq: OBAS) which had a successful IPO, and E-Sponsor, which was sold to Intuwave.
