+ Mesh startup Firetide is claiming success with its Singapore government-backed, island-wide WLAN deployment. The Los Gatos, CA-based startup says that there have been 150K registrations for the free WiFi service. The total network is expected to cost about $100M when it is fully completed in the fall of this year.

+ Online dating site Crush or Flush reached 20M monthly page views just 90 days after launch.

+ Broadband access equipment supplier Calix Networks could file for an IPO in the next few weeks.

+ Japan's mobile ad market looks hot. Ads on cell telephones in Japan are set to triple by 2011, outpacing growth of advertising on the Internet, according to a study.

+ Carlsbad, CA-based online realtor iPayOne, a company known for the name behind the LA Sports Arena, said it might shut down and it announced it would no longer accept real estate listings. The CEO said the company ran out of cash.

+ VC-backed eEye hired a new CEO just 6 moths ago but he has announced his resignation already.

+ Amazon sues Statsaholic (Alexaholic).
