RedHat Buys MetaMatrix

metamatrix.png
Founded in 1998, Waltham-based MetaMatrix was bought out today by RedHat. MetaMatrix' SOA0-based data tools will be bundled with RedHat's Jboss suite. MetaMatrix backers include Kleiner Perkins and Integral Capital.

While the price of the sale was not disclosed, this appears to be a mercy sale for a company. Says the site Andy on Enterprise Software: "Pioneer EII vendor Metamatrix stalling in the market, with virtually no growth in revenues last year."
