Visual Biz Collaboration Tool Octopz Funded

We have been tracking several Web-based, work-place collaboration tools companies that have been funded recently. This list includes: Qwak, MyQuire, Koral (Now Salesforce.com. Today it is Toronto-based Octopz which has raised an undisclosed amount of venture funding from GrowthWorks Commercialization Fund.

Octopz costs $100 per month for a subscription. Features are led by:

+ View and mark up files including documents (proposals, briefs, presentations, project plans, scripts) and digital media (photos, video, sound, animation).

+ Collaborate with clients, vendors or colleagues at the same time or asynchronously.

+ On-Screen Annotation: Markup files and add personalized time-stamped comments.

+ Rich media markup including videos, audio, animations, Flash files, and 360ยบ panoramas.

+ Whiteboard

+ Text Messaging/VoIP/Webcams
